We're looking for a hands-on Operations Coordinator to own the day-to-day running of our fleet — from dispatch and load planning to backhaul sourcing, compliance paperwork, and reporting. This is a key role with a direct path to operations management as we continue to grow. What you'll do: Dispatch & Load Management Manage daily dispatch for our fleet of W-2 drivers and owner-operators — load assignments, routing, and scheduling Source and book backhauls to maximize loaded miles and reduce deadhead Work load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) and maintain broker relationships to keep trucks moving Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers — check-calls, delays, breakdowns, and on-the-road issues Coordinate with brokers and customers on appointments, delivery confirmations, and rate negotiations Compliance & Paperwork Maintain driver qualification files in accordance with
FMCSA/DOT
requirements Monitor HOS and ELD data to ensure driver compliance Process and file required regulatory reporting forms (state, federal, and carrier-level) Assist with driver onboarding documentation and I-9/employment paperwork Keep insurance certificates, permits, and carrier documents current and organized Reporting & Admin Support payroll by logging driver hours, shifts, and trip data Prepare weekly operational reports — miles, loads, utilization, deadhead percentage Maintain load and trip records for billing and audit purposes Handle general office administrative tasks as needed What we're looking for: 2+ years of trucking operations or dispatch experience (required) Experience sourcing loads on DAT, Truckstop, or similar platforms Solid knowledge of FMCSA regulations, HOS rules, and ELD systems Comfortable with TMS/dispatch software, ELD platforms, and Excel/Google Sheets Strong communicator — you'll deal with drivers, brokers, customers, and vendors daily Self-starter who can manage a full workload without needing constant direction Detail-oriented and organized — there's a lot of paperwork in this role and it needs to be right
