Dispatcher Harrisburg-based Clark Transfer is looking for a new member of our Operations team serving the transportation and logistics needs of the live entertainment industry. Family-owned and operated since 1949, we are a small company dedicated to providing impeccable service to our customers.

As a Dispatcher you will work as a member of a tight knit 24/7 Operations team with a deep commitment to customer service, meeting customer needs while maintaining strong and positive relationships with our fleet of dedicated owner operators and agent carriers. This position will work in-office for the evening and weekend shift Sunday through Wednesday with rotating on-call.

Primary responsibilities include:

Dispatching dedicated owner operators and brokered agent carriers, including participation in scheduled overnight on-call rotations; and Planning and fleet management support. Booking brokered repositioning backhauls to get our owner operators efficiently to their next scheduled moves. As a member of the Operations team, you will learn all facets of our dispatch operations, including our custom computer programs.

This work requires: A fast and willing learner, able to assimilate, retain, and use complex systems with lots of moving parts; A self-starter, able to operate effectively on your own and as part of a close-knit team; The ability to work and thrive in a high-pressure, high stakes environment in which change is a constant, and time is always of the essence. A demonstrated willingness and ability to go "above and beyond" to resolve questions and solve problems creatively; Exceptional attention to detail; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Proficiency with Microsoft programs
