THE POSITION
Located in Honesdale, PA - Wayne County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) Transportation Department is seeking qualified applicants interested in expanding their administrative skills in a professional public service environment. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity supporting services that enhance the lives of individuals in the community. Wayne County offers a comprehensive benefits package.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position plays an important role in keeping the front desk and office operations running smoothly for Wayne County Transportation Services AAA. The work supports staff, caseworkers, and community members by ensuring organized communication and efficient workflow. As a Clerk 2 CS Rep/Dispatch, you will perform the following duties:
Front Desk Support:
Greet walk ins and provide helpful assistance to visitors
Phone Communication:
Answer incoming calls and relay messages accurately to staff
Office Tasks:
Complete data entry, scanning, filing, and general clerical duties
Travel Coordination:
Arrange staff travel accommodations and reservations
Mail Processing:
Sort, prepare, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
Workflow Management:
Maintain timely paperwork flow to support case management staff
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours will vary between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch. You may have irregular hours, including evenings and weekends. This position may require some travel in and out of the county for meetings.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerk 1 and educational development to the level of the eighth grade; or Completion of a high school business curriculum; or Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges and abilities.
