Dispatcher Behind every school bus or van driver, there is a talented dispatcher who is making a difference by ensuring schedules and routes are effective and coordinating continuous communication between the Company, drivers, parents and the school district. You start your day by putting a smile on our drivers faces and sending them off to greet our kids! You will be in the action every day helping drivers succeed and directing routes, schedules and communications. You will work with a team who respects you and the everyday hero you are! Schedule aligned with students flexible with nights, weekends & holidays off Standard schedule of 10 hours a day during school and 8 hours per day in summer Competitive base pay up to $21.00 Based on experience Opportunity for additional hours/pay when driving a school route or trip Paid vacation and time off Medical Benefits w/ Company cost share (Day 1 eligible) Company paid Life Insurance ($15,000) & Employee Assistance Plan (Day 1 eligible) Dental and Vision plans available on a voluntary basis (Day 1 eligible) How Do I Start? What is Required? Fill out the on-line application and a Company representative will call you to get the process started! You must be able to engage and communicate clearly and respectfully with others and calmly / tactfully handle difficult customers and situations. You must have a high school diploma or equivalent You must have at least 1 year of experience in student transportation or more than one year of experience in a similar role in other transportation operations You must be proficient with the use of computers and software programs You must have (or we will provide you free training to get): Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Passenger, School Bus and Air Brake Endorsements. Must have and maintain the following to be able to drive a school van or bus: A satisfactory driving history based on review of state motor vehicle records A satisfactory criminal history and child abuse history checks as required by law and the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Passing an initial and routine annual school bus driver physical w/ tuberculosis testing as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Participate in and pass pre-employment and on-going random drug and alcohol testing throughout employment. Dispatchers play an essential role in the lives of our drivers and the children they serve.
