You'll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where your ability to stay organized, communicate effectively, and provide excellent service will make a direct impact on patients and care teams. What We're Looking For We're especially interested in candidates who bring: Strong computer and basic data entry skills Customer service experience with a patient-first mindset Comfort using standard office equipment Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities Key Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule patient transport requests (emergency and non-emergency) within UPMC Dispatch and manage transport units to ensure timely, efficient service Serve as a point of contact for patients, staff, and external partners—answering questions and resolving concerns Perform billing functions, including accurate claim submission, follow-ups, and account management Accept and process payments (cash, credit/debit, or check) and provide receipts Maintain dispatch logs, schedules, and transport documentation Generate daily and monthly reports on volume and productivity Assist with accounts receivable, collections, and monthly closing processes Coordinate backup coverage and resources to ensure uninterrupted service Commitment to Patient Care & Safety We are dedicated to creating a safe, high-quality environment for our patients and staff.
