We provide smart hands dispatch services, low-voltage cabling, network infrastructure support, and field service coordination for multi-site customers. We are a fast-moving, customer-focused company that values responsiveness, clear communication, and doing the job right. Position Overview Broadwire Networks is looking for a Dispatch Support Specialist to assist with the daily coordination of field technicians and smart hands dispatches. This is a junior-level operations role designed to support our dispatch team with technician check-ins, job updates, basic troubleshooting coordination, documentation follow-up, and general Tier 1 support. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and able to keep up in a fast-paced environment. This person does not need to know everything on day one, but they must be a fast learner, comfortable asking smart questions, and capable of following through without constant reminders. This role will start part-time at approximately 25 hours per week , with the expectation that the right person may grow into a full-time role within 90 days. Key Responsibilities Create and schedule work orders for technician dispatches Check in with field technicians before, during, and after scheduled dispatches Confirm technician ETA, arrival, site access, and job status Help ensure technicians understand the scope of work before arriving onsite Provide Tier 1 support to technicians during smart hands dispatches Help technicians with simple troubleshooting steps before escalating to the customer's NOC Support basic telecom and low-voltage tasks such as tracing, toning, testing, labeling, and connectivity checks Gather technician notes, photos, test results, and closeout details Update tickets and internal systems with accurate job information Escalate issues to senior dispatch or management when needed Communicate professionally with field technicians, customers, and internal team members Help prevent missed updates, delayed closeouts, and incomplete documentation What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Highly organized and detail-oriented Responsive and reliable Able to manage multiple active tasks without letting things slip A fast learner who can pick up telecom and low-voltage terminology Comfortable communicating with field technicians Professional, personable, and calm under pressure Willing to follow processes and improve over time Able to take ownership of assigned tasks Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred but not required: Low-voltage cabling Telecom dispatch Smart hands support Field service coordination MSP help desk support ISP, cable, or telecom installation support Technician or installer field experience Customer service in a technical environment A candidate with prior field experience who is looking to move into an operations or dispatch role would be a strong fit. Helpful Technical Knowledge The ideal candidate will be familiar with, or willing to learn, terms and tasks such as: Toning and tracing cables Testing network drops DMARC / telco rooms Patch panels and network racks Modems, routers, switches, and access points POTS lines, ATAs, and basic dial tone testing Cable labeling and closeout photos Site access and technician coordination What Success Looks Like A successful person in this role will help make sure: Technicians are checked in and prepared Job updates are accurate and timely Simple issues are handled before escalating to the customer's NOC Documentation and photos are collected properly Dispatches move forward without constant management follow-up Customers and technicians feel supported Senior dispatch staff can focus on higher-priority issues Schedule and Growth Opportunity This role will begin at approximately 25 hours per week . We are looking for someone who can prove themselves through reliability, responsiveness, accuracy, and follow-through.
