LOCAL DISPATCHER
to coordinate transportation operations efficiently and effectively for Savannah and Charleston Ports. In this role you will coordinate freight movements, work with Account Managers and ensure daily goals are achieved. This position is ideal for someone with strong logistics knowledge, and a passion for operation excellence.
Responsibilities:
Dispatch daily pick up and returns to local fleet of Owner Operators Monitor TMS system for Cut off and Last Free day pickups and returns Manage daily yard checks for accuracy Obtain required return information from port websites and update TMS system Assist in Road Dispatch when needed
Requirements:
Familiar with GPA system required. 2 years Previous experience in logistics and dispatching required Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office, transportation software, and logistics systems • Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational efficiency
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
