Job Description
Snow White Group is seeking a seasoned, hands-on Operations Lead to own and optimize the end-to-end operations of our trucking business. This is not an entry-level role, we need someone who has lived and breathed the trucking industry, someone who can jump in, take command of dispatch operations, manage drivers and loads, and bring a level of operational precision that keeps the business running at peak efficiency. You will be the operational backbone of our fleet, coordinating dispatch, managing loads, overseeing compliance, and working directly with the CEO to scale the business intelligently and sustainably. What you'll own Manage daily dispatch operations — assigning loads, coordinating drivers, and optimizing routes for efficiency and profitability Source, negotiate, and book freight loads using load boards and direct broker relationships (DAT, Truckstop.com, etc.) Monitor real-time truck locations and ETAs, proactively communicating with brokers, shippers, and receivers Ensure full FMCSA, DOT, and HOS compliance across the fleet at all times Oversee driver onboarding, performance management, and day-to-day driver relations Coordinate maintenance schedules, breakdowns, and emergency roadside situations Track and report on key operational KPIs — deadhead miles, on-time delivery rates, revenue per mile, and utilization Build and refine SOPs for dispatch, load management, and driver communication Work closely with the CEO on operational strategy, fleet expansion planning, and cost reduction initiatives What you must bring Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on trucking operations or dispatch experience (OTR, regional, or local fleets) Deep understanding of the U.S. freight market — lanes, rates, broker relationships, and seasonal trends Proven experience using load boards (DAT, Truckstop.com, Convoy, etc.) and TMS platforms Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations, ELD mandates, HOS rules, and DOT compliance requirements Strong dispatcher mindset — calm under pressure, decisive, and solution-oriented when things go wrong Excellent communication skills — able to manage drivers, brokers, and leadership simultaneously High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple loads, drivers, and priorities in real time Experience managing or mentoring a team of drivers or operations staff Preferred qualifications Experience scaling a small to mid-size trucking operation Familiarity with accounting/invoicing tools like QuickBooks or RoseRocket Prior CDL holder or strong driver-side operational experience Experience with factoring companies and cash flow management in trucking Background in fleet safety programs and driver coaching Tools & platforms you should know DAT Load Board, Truckstop.com, Samsara / KeepTruckin, McLeod, TMSAxon / RoseRocket, PC•Miler / ProMiles, QuickBooks, ELD Platforms, Tenstreet / Dossie, Google Workspace Compensation & details Starting salary: $48,000/year during a 3-month probationary period Full-time conversion salary: $75,000/year upon successful completion of probation Reports directly to the CEO of Snow White Group Works alongside an operations team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Opportunity to grow as the fleet and business scales
