Non-Exempt Job Description:
In this role, you will answer, screen, and resolve non-emergent phone calls to support the activities of the Parking Enforcement Officers in the field.
Examples of Duties:
Answers and screens call, transferring emergency calls to Consolidated 911 Center. Resolves non-emergent calls by reviewing records, providing appropriate information, and responding to citizen questions and concerns. Generates calls for service using a Computer Aided Dispatch system to dispatch and communicate with Parking Enforcement Officers. Coordinates with Parking Enforcement Officers to contact tow trucks. Monitors street sweeping of parked cars. Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to complete SLED Security Awareness Training and NCIC 16 Hour Inquiry Course and obtain certification within first week of employment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year related professional experience. Familiarity with computer aided dispatch (CAD) and/or Law Enforcement Message Switch (LEMS) systems preferred.
Other Necessary Requirements:
May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City's needs.
