Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Service Dispatcher for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Columbia, SC. As a Service Dispatcher, you will help manage the daily flow of drivers, vehicles, personnel, and service requests for a construction-related environment serving residential and commercial customers. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule dispatch activity for drivers, vehicles, service personnel, equipment, and shipments to support timely service delivery.
- Monitor driver, fleet, and route status using GPS tracking systems, dispatch software, or transportation management systems.
- Communicate with drivers and field personnel to provide route updates, service instructions, schedule changes, and issue resolution.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide accurate updates regarding service status, delivery timing, or dispatch changes.
- Maintain detailed dispatch logs, delivery records, communication notes, incident documentation, and performance information. Compensation and Benefits
