The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience supporting highway construction, bridge construction, aggregate hauling, or ready-mix concrete operations . This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient fleet and driver utilization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Dispatch trucking resources for highway construction, bridge construction, and related infrastructure projects to meet project schedules and customer requirements. Schedule and track deliveries of aggregates, asphalt, concrete materials, equipment, and construction supplies. Communicate regularly with project managers, superintendents, plant managers, customers, and drivers regarding schedules and delivery status. Monitor driver availability, hours-of-service compliance, and equipment utilization. Maintain accurate dispatch records operational reports. Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure equipment availability and minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Support 24/7 dispatch operations. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year of dispatching experience involving commercial motor vehicles. Strong knowledge of transportation operations and fleet management practices. Experience utilizing dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer service. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience dispatching trucks in highway construction, heavy civil construction, bridge construction, aggregate hauling, ready-mix concrete, or related industries. Experience coordinating multiple job sites and large fleets. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and phone. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to work extended hours during peak construction seasons as needed. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are normally Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, hours can change due to company demands. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
