SUMMARY:
As a key player in our operations, the Cross-Border Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in assisting with booking and tracking trucks for customer orders. Their responsibilities also include responding to customer and carrier inquiries, data entry, creating DOs, and planning loads and appointments. The ideal candidate is someone who can organize/prioritize, keep track of, and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously. This role reports to the Cross-Border Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Field and direct all incoming phone calls as required Respond to all e-mails promptly, including customer e-mails for pickups, rate availability, and updates. Carrier search and rate negotiation Saving all documents (BOLS/Customs docs/Packing lists) to the system. Setting up correct emails for all customers and carriers for updates and tracking Resolving any issues with the carrier, such as any accessorial charges, delays, or service problems Finalizing all charges from the carrier Track and trace current loads on the road Inform external customers and internal departments of the current location of freight in transit Collect signed PODs from carriers within a reasonable amount of time. 7512(T/E) handling, record keeping, and management Full understanding of customs in-bond movements.

  • 6pm Sunday
  • Thursday (Monday
  • Friday for Training) Overtime availability as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Fluent in English and Spanish High School Diploma or higher 1-2 years of freight forwarding or Airport Ground handling experience is preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially with Excel Proactive attitude and strong time management skills Extremely detail-oriented and well-organized Must be a team player, while also able to work independently Good communication skills (verbal and written) Great customer service skills Ability to work in a busy and fast-paced environment; able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously Eagerness to learn about the freight forwarding/supply chain industry Availability for weekend and holiday hours as needed
