This role is responsible for coordinating drivers, managing freight movement, ensuring paperwork accuracy, organizing warehouse operations, and maintaining on-time service for customers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, possesses exceptional organizational skills, and understands that accurate freight management is critical to customer satisfaction and company success. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Dispatch and coordinate Class A and Class C drivers for pickups, recoveries, transfers, and deliveries. Plan and manage consolidated recovery and delivery routes. Gather, organize, and verify dispatch paperwork through company software systems. Match freight documentation accurately with physical freight. Track shipments from pickup through final delivery. Monitor time-sensitive freight and ensure service commitments are met. Coordinate driver handoffs and transfer schedules. Communicate route changes, customer updates, and operational priorities to drivers. Communicate proactively with customers regarding shipment status, delays, service disruptions, and schedule changes. Provide timely updates to customers and management when pickups, recoveries, transfers, or deliveries are at risk of missing scheduled service times. Coordinate with drivers and customers to establish revised pickup and delivery expectations when delays occur. Assist with unloading, sorting, and staging freight when necessary. Organize warehouse freight for efficient loading and unloading operations. Identify and resolve freight discrepancies, missing paperwork, and shipment delays. Maintain accurate records and dispatch documentation. Work closely with warehouse personnel and management to improve operational efficiency. Support customer service initiatives by ensuring freight moves accurately and on time. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 2+ years of dispatching, transportation, logistics, or warehouse operations experience preferred. Experience managing multiple drivers and routes simultaneously. Strong understanding of freight documentation and shipment tracking. Experience with dispatch, transportation, or logistics software. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Forklift and warehouse experience is a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Success in This Position Means Freight is accurately matched and tracked. Drivers meet scheduled pickup and delivery commitments. Freight loss and paperwork errors are minimized. Warehouse operations remain organized and efficient. Customers receive timely communication regarding shipment status and operational delays. Customer service expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
