In this vital role, you will coordinate and manage the scheduling, routing, and tracking of freight and shipments across various transportation channels. Your expertise in transportation management systems, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), GPS technology, and supply chain logistics will ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, analysis, and data entry, playing a key role in optimizing transportation planning and fleet management to meet organizational goals efficiently. Duties Coordinate dispatching activities by assigning freight loads to drivers and carriers using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine. Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure timely deliveries. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Enter and update shipment data accurately into AS400 and other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like Oracle Transportation Management. Track shipments through shipping & receiving processes, ensuring compliance with schedules and customer requirements. Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within the supply chain. Manage freight documentation, including manifests, bills of lading, and delivery confirmations, ensuring accuracy for audit purposes. Support transportation planning by reviewing logistics schedules, coordinating with 3PL (third-party logistics) providers, and assisting in fleet management tasks. Skills Strong proficiency in

GIS, GPS

technology, and transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine. Excellent analysis skills to interpret data related to freight movements, routing efficiencies, and supply chain performance. Effective dispatching abilities with experience in freight coordination across multiple modes of transportation. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with fleet management practices. Exceptional communication skills to liaise clearly with drivers, vendors, and internal teams; professional phone etiquette is essential. Proficient typing skills for quick data entry into various systems including AS400 and transportation management platforms. Familiarity with logistics concepts such as transportation planning, supply chain coordination, and 3PL operations.
