Job Description

The Dispatch supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily transportation of stone, gravel, and aggregate materials to job sites and customers. This role ensures efficient scheduling, timely deliveries, and clear communication between drivers, customers, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule and dispatch trucks for delivery of stone, gravel, sand, and related materials Coordinate routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines Communicate with drivers to provide load details, directions, and updates Monitor driver progress and adjust schedules as needed due to traffic, weather, or job site changes Maintain accurate records of deliveries, tickets, and driver logs Work closely with quarry, plant, and sales teams to ensure order accuracy Handle customer inquiries regarding delivery times and order status Ensure compliance with company standards
Qualifications:
Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or trucking (preferred) Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Familiarity with routing software, GPS systems, or dispatch systems Knowledge of the construction or aggregate industry is a plus
Work Environment:
Fast-paced and time-sensitive, especially during peak delivery hours Frequent multitasking and problem-solving (route changes, delays, last-minute requests) High volume of phone calls, emails, and radio communication with drivers Collaboration with operations, logistics, and customer service teams Occasional exposure to yard or site conditions (noise, dust, weather) if coordinating with drivers onsite Hours - 7:00A.M- 4:30P.
