Operations Dispatcher (Growth Opportunity to General Manager)

Lynden, WA (supporting operations in Lynden & Moses Lake) About Us Bogaard Hay Company is a family-run operation built on hard work, reliability, and long-standing customer relationships. We operate a fleet serving both hay and freight customers, with teams based in Lynden and Moses Lake. Our culture is family-style and relaxed—but when things get busy, we move fast and expect people to step up and solve problems. The Role We're looking for an Operations Dispatcher who can do more than just assign loads. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing daily dispatch operations while improving efficiency and supporting our drivers. This is not a "sit back and follow a script" position. You'll need to think ahead, adapt quickly, and make decisions in real time. For the right person, this role has a potential clear path to grow into a General Manager position overseeing the full operation. The Responsibilities Plan and dispatch daily loads for hay and freight operations Coordinate and manage 13 drivers across Lynden and Moses Lake Take full ownership of Moses Lake fleet operations remotely Communicate directly with drivers to solve problems and keep loads moving Optimize routes and improve efficiency (reduce empty miles, improve timing) Work within ToroTMS (dispatch software) to manage loads and schedules Coordinate with shop and ownership on equipment availability Handle occasional after-hours calls or issues when they arise What Success Looks Like with us Trucks stay loaded and moving efficiently Drivers know the plan and aren't constantly calling for direction Problems are handled without needing ownership involved Dispatch runs smoothly whether the owner is present or notCompensation Hourly:
$27- 30/hour (based on experience) Annual performance bonus ($2,000
