ASU Dispatch Supervisor 2757 Rd N NE, Moses Lake, WA 98837, USA Full-time Job Description Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our ASU Dispatch Supervisor position. The ASU Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for the operational management of the Norco ASU tractor/tanker fleets. The position coordinates and dispatches drivers and assets using dispatch software and telematics. Position includes the direct supervision of driver scheduling. Decision-making can include comprehensive re-routing and re-calibrating deliveries on very short notice to uphold service commitments. Impact can include potential for significant customer service and related revenue implications. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Effectively manage dispatch software and telemetry to ensure route optimization and dispatching activities as well as minimize negative impacts on customers Assign delivery routes and schedules to bulk drivers and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant product deliveries Monitor delivery progress, address delays, and resolve issues to maintain dependable customer service Identify operational efficiencies in bulk distribution and implement change initiatives to improve productivity and control costs Communicate with central sales staff when necessary to coordinate 3rd party supplier availability and scheduling Act as a point of contact for driver concerns, customer issues, and urgent requests Provide after-hours on-call support when necessary for drivers, and customer inquiries Implement and oversee tractor/tanker preventive maintenance and repair scheduling to ensure maximum up-time and availability of assets Lead efforts in tracking and ensuring driver compliance with all regulatory requirements including DOT, Hours of Service, CDL, and medical examination compliance Coordinate billing and invoicing of customer deliveries Assist in onboarding and training new drivers to ensure proper knowledge transfer and procedural adherence Participate in incident investigations and support corrective action development and implementation Update dispatch system with customer notes and work order ship dates as necessary Follow Safe work practices in performance of all duties and follow the company's safety policies daily Perform other tasks as assigned or needed Wage $27-$30/Hr DOE Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 6 months' dispatch or leadership experience preferred Ability to adapt to and manage changing priorities Effective time management skills Ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision Ability to make decisions using good judgement Excellent attention to detail Ability to effectively manage staff Ability to use basic office equipment: computer, scanner, telephone Ability to work in frequently high stress situations Excellent problem-solving skills Additional information Norco offers a competitive compensation/benefit package, including: Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Health, Vision and Dental Insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) Medical and Dependent Care Flex Accounts (FSA) Life Insurance provided at no cost to employee by Norco Supplemental Accident, Disease, and Life Insurance options Employee Tuition Reimbursement 401(k) with Employer Matching Employee Discount on products sold by Norco Company Description Founded in 1948, Norco is headquartered in Boise, Idaho and has more than 70 branches in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Nevada, Washington, Utah and Wyoming.
