Norton King's Daughters' Hospital Job Description Responsibilities The 911 EMS Dispatcher (also called an Emergency Medical Dispatcher or Telecommunicator) is responsible for answering emergency and non-emergency calls, gathering critical information, providing pre arrival medical instructions, and dispatching EMS resources. This role requires calm decision making, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment.Qualifications Required:
Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) certificate or able to obtain within one year of hire.Desired:
