Job Description

Unison Systems is seeking a Safety and Security Analyst to join our client's team in California. This is a direct hire position offering a salary of $100,000 to $115,000. You will work in an office environment with occasional travel to client sites and incident locations as needed. Some assignments may require extended periods away from the main office.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing, maintaining, and implementing Emergency Operations Plans, Continuity of Operations Plans, hazard mitigation plans, and emergency procedures Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, capability assessments, and regulatory compliance reviews Prepare technical analysis, specifications, studies, plans, and reports related to security and safety initiatives Research and prepare routine and moderately complex technical reports Coordinate and support training programs, tabletop exercises, drills, and functional exercises in accordance with Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program guidance Prepare After-Action Reports and Improvement Plans following incidents and exercises Interface with clients, public agencies, stakeholders, and project teams to gather information and support project objectives Monitor emergency management regulations, industry standards, and best practices Support project management activities including scheduling, resource coordination, budget tracking, and stakeholder communication Monitor project progress and communicate status updates throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Public Administration, Public Safety, or a related field Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in emergency management, disaster preparedness, homeland security, public safety, or related programs FEMA ICS and NIMS coursework required Knowledge of emergency management principles, FEMA frameworks, SEMS/NIMS requirements, continuity planning, and preparedness programs Experience supporting emergency operations, incident response, recovery efforts, and preparedness initiatives Ability to independently manage workload, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines Strong written, oral, and presentation skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to communicate effectively with clients, agencies, executives, and technical staff Certified Emergency Manager, Associate Emergency Manager, or related certification preferred Project Management Professional certification or three years of project management experience preferred Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods and travel independently as needed Unison Systems is Colorado's leading IT staffing and engineering consulting firm - apply today and let us put our 27 years of expertise to work for you.
