- Must successfully pass a medical evaluion which required annually.
- Must successfully complete background investigion.
- Must complete a one-year probionary period.
- Must possess the following certificions accredited by the Nional Board on Fire Service Professional Qualificions (NBFSPQ) or the Internional Fire Service Accredition Congress (IFSAC): Hazardous Merials Technician, Hazardous Merials Officer, Hazardous Merials Safety Officer, Hazardous Merials Incident Commander.
- Must possess the following certificions:
ICS 100, 200, 300, 400
- Must possess and maintain one of the following the Nional Registry level: Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT), Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (NRAEMT), or Paramedic (NRP).
CP-09/GS-11
Significant supervision of components of a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) incident response program and personnel. Planning and directing hazardous merials incident response operions. Developing and monitoring training programs for CBRNE incident response and emergency medical responder certificions. Determining equipment and resource requirements to ensure operional readiness for CBRNE incidents. Providing input in the budget preparion process. In addition to the specialized experience described above: For the CP-11 level you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to theCP-10/GS-12
Substantial management of a comprehensive, fully operional Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) incident response program. Service as a subject mter expert in CBRNE incident response, investigion, mitigion, evaluion, and personnel decontaminion. Significant knowledge and ability to manage CBRNE incident response plans, hazardous merials training, emergency medical responder and respirory protection programs. Competency in planning and guiding budget preparion process and monitoring execution. In addition to the specialized experience described above applicants: For the CP-12 level you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to theCP-11/GS-13
Mastery in leading a comprehensive, fully operional Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) incident response program. Service as an expert authority in responding to CBRNE incidents, conducting consequence management operions through investigion, mitigion, evaluion and personnel decontaminion. Management and oversight of enterprise-wide CBRNE incident response plans, hazardous merials training, emergency medical responder and respirory protection programs. Proficiency in budget formulion and execution.ALL APPLICANTS MUST
possess Hazardous Merials (HM) Technician, HM Officer, HM Safety Officer, and HM Incident Commander certificions accredited by either the Nional Board on Fire Service Professional Qualificions (NBFSPQ) or the Internional Fire Service Accredition Congress (IFSAC) and be able to display and apply knowledge and training from the certificion.
