Duties Lead a comprehensive and fully operional Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Incident Response Program by responding to thres and conducting consequence management operions through investigion, mitigion, evacuion, and personnel decontaminion. Manage the USCP Hazardous Merials Response Team, providing emergency response "Life Saving" services. Plan and monitor the hazardous incident response program, including logistics, budget, and acquisition functions. Develop policies and procedures, organize operions, perform emergency operions and analysis, and provide recommendions regarding prevention, intervention, and mitigion of hazardous merials incidents. Supervise specialists who provide training th focuses on development of the knowledge and skills of hazardous merials and emergency medical responders. Govern the work th involves design, development, delivery, documention and assessment of training programs pertaining to hazardous merials incident response and recovery by the HMRT staff. Oversee the Department's Emergency Medical Response element, guiding the administrion and management of training programs for sworn employees to serve as certified emergency medical responders. Serve as agency liaison with partner entities to ensure compliance with established agreements, procedures, and training required for the emergency medical program. Serve as the Department's Respirory Protection Program (RPP) Administror responsible for the execution, enforcement, and maintenance of the RPP. Ensure approprie medical surveillance, recordkeeping, respiror selection, training, and fit testing for all employees requiring respirory protection equipment.   • Must possess the following certificions accredited by the Nional Board on Fire Service Professional Qualificions (NBFSPQ) or the Internional Fire Service Accredition Congress (IFSAC): Hazardous Merials Technician, Hazardous Merials Officer, Hazardous Merials Safety Officer, Hazardous Merials Incident Commander.
  • Must possess the following certificions:

  • Must possess and maintain one of the following the Nional Registry level: Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT), Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (NRAEMT), or Paramedic (NRP).

Significant knowledge and ability to manage CBRNE incident response plans, hazardous merials training, emergency medical responder and respirory protection programs. Competency in planning and guiding budget preparion process and monitoring execution. Mastery in leading a comprehensive, fully operional Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) incident response program. Service as an expert authority in responding to CBRNE incidents, conducting consequence management operions through investigion, mitigion, evaluion and personnel decontaminion. Management and oversight of enterprise-wide CBRNE incident response plans, hazardous merials training, emergency medical responder and respirory protection programs. Proficiency in budget formulion and execution.

possess Hazardous Merials (HM) Technician, HM Officer, HM Safety Officer, and HM Incident Commander certificions accredited by either the Nional Board on Fire Service Professional Qualificions (NBFSPQ) or the Internional Fire Service Accredition Congress (IFSAC) and be able to display and apply knowledge and training from the certificion.
