THIS IS AN AT-WILL POSITION.
Use the Job ID based on the Position Location as follows Location Job ID 20 S. Military Trail, WPB 35090 Performs work assisting in the enforcement and regulation of Palm Beach County's ordinance regulating ambulance operations. Responsible for inspecting ambulance/rescue vehicles and personnel, and compiling data for statistical analysis. Work is performed in accordance with established procedures, rules, and regulations enforced by State and County government. Other work includes serving as support staff for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Providers Association and the EMS Advisory Council. Completes EMS inspections, maintains EMS inspection records, and bills EMS providers. Participates in emergency management exercises and various field training as needed. Attends meetings that relate to EMS and the Emergency Operations or Center (EOC) Planning Section. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Emergency Medical Services Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified candidates to possess one of the following: An Associate's Degree in Emergency Management, Public/Business Administration, Education, or related field; minimum of four (4) years of experience in emergency response, emergency preparedness, emergency recovery and mitigation for natural and man-made disasters, OR An Unrelated Associate's Degree or a related Bachelor's Degree; minimum of six (6) years of experience in emergency response, emergency preparedness, emergency recovery and mitigation for natural and man-made disasters, OR Graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification; minimum of eight (8) years of experience in emergency response, emergency preparedness, emergency recovery and mitigation for natural and man-made disasters.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include: Experience using Microsoft Office Suite software (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint), and Experience using Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
