Duties Help AnEMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
SPECIALIST, GS-0089-11, you will develop, review, coordine and execute the wing's Emergency Management (EM) program plan in support of DOD, Joint Service, Air Force, MAJCOM, ANG, Numbered Air Force, federal, ste, and county plans in the area(s) of Prevention, Protection, Mitigion, Response, and Recovery. The position develops, manages and executes the wing EM programs, ensuring effective prevention, protection, mitigion, response, and recovery operions to allow continued mission capability the wing level. Performs other duties as assigned.Work Schedule:
This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule th consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements.Telework:

May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required. The duties and responsibilities of your job may impact the environment. Must have successfully completed, or be able to complete within six (6) months of appointment to position, the Air Force Emergency Management Course. : Must have 1 year experience equivalent the next lower grade level (GS 09). Experience applying principles, concepts, and methods of emergency management operions sufficient to design projects having applicable precedents where well-established occupional methods, techniques, processes and precedents can be utilized. Utilizes knowledge of and skill in applying a comprehensive range of principles, concepts and practices reling to emergency management operions in carrying out the full scope of emergency management operions for the Air Nional Guard and supported units. Knowledge of a variety of emergencies, hazards, or nural and man-made/technological (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, high-yield explosives) incidents. Knowledge of emergency management and reled directives, policies, regulions, procedures, and methods; and the collaborion and fostering of relionships between Federal, Ste, local governments and non-governmental organizions or the prive sector, and their response mechanisms and authorities. Educion Substitution of Educion for Specialized Experience - Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in fields listed below leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.
