CORE is looking for an experienced Rescue Manager in the Baton Rouge, LA area to serve our local, regional and national clients. This role oversees the recruitment, hiring, scheduling, training, and performance management of rescue personnel supporting both long-term client contracts and short-term project assignments. The Manager ensures all rescue teams maintain operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and exceptional client service while supporting company growth across industrial, construction, petrochemical, energy, and confined space rescue operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Workforce Planning & Personnel Management In conjunction with Human Resources, develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract qualified rescue technicians, supervisors, and rescue managers. In conjunction with Human Resources, Lead hiring efforts including candidate sourcing, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and retention initiatives. Build and maintain a scalable workforce capable of supporting both scheduled projects and emergency response needs. Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage across multiple client locations and projects. Create and oversee employee schedules for long-term contracts, short-term projects, shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency deployments. Coordinate personnel travel, lodging, rotations, and deployment logistics. Monitor labor utilization, overtime, staffing costs, and workforce productivity. Operations Management Direct day-to-day rescue operations across multiple client sites. Ensure all rescue personnel maintain certifications, training requirements, and operational competencies. Establish standard operating procedures and operational best practices. Provide leadership during major incidents and emergency responses. Support business development efforts by evaluating staffing requirements for new contracts and project opportunities. Client Relations Serve as the primary operational contact for rescue service clients. Participate in client meetings, site assessments, and project planning discussions. Ensure staffing commitments and service level expectations are consistently met. Address client concerns and implement corrective actions when necessary. Required 5+ years of experience in technical rescue, emergency response, fire service, or industrial rescue. 3+ years of leadership or management experience. High angle and confined space rescue certified Strong knowledge of OSHA confined space regulations and rescue standards. Experience staffing large industrial projects, turnarounds, outages, or emergency response contracts. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to travel frequently. Preferred Industrial rescue experience in petrochemical, refinery, energy, or manufacturing environments. Incident Command System (ICS) certifications. NFPA Technical Rescue certifications. Fire Officer, Emergency Management, or EMS leadership credentials. EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic certification. Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Occupational Safety, Business, or related field. Physical Requirements Ability to wear respiratory protection and PPE. Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces. Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
