Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Live-In Sober Living Housing Manager to oversee daily operations of our recovery residence. This is a live-in position requiring 24/7 on-call availability to support residents in their recovery journey while maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident Support & Supervision:
  • Provide daily oversight and support to residents maintaining sobriety in a structured recovery environment
  • Conduct regular house meetings and ensure adherence to house rules and recovery expectations
  • Monitor resident compliance with curfews, drug testing protocols, and program participation
  • Serve as a positive role model demonstrating healthy recovery lifestyle and practices
  • Respond to crisis situations and emergencies with appropriate intervention and de-escalation techniques
House Operations & Management:
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment for all residents
  • Conduct routine inspections of living spaces and common areas
  • Coordinate and oversee house maintenance, repairs, and supply inventory
  • Manage move-in and move-out procedures including room assignments and property inspections
  • Document all incidents, violations, and resident progress in accordance with policies
Compliance & Safety:
  • Enforce house policies including zero-tolerance substance use policy
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all resident interactions
  • Implement emergency procedures and safety protocols as needed
  • Ensure fire safety, building codes, and health regulations are consistently met
Communication & Coordination:
  • Maintain regular communication with clinical staff, case managers, and external treatment providers
  • Document resident progress and behavioral observations for clinical team review
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
  • Build positive relationships with residents' families when appropriate and authorized
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Minimum 2 years of continuous sobriety (for recovery-focused positions)
  • Experience working in addiction treatment, recovery housing, or behavioral health settings
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries while providing compassionate support
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for emergencies
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
Preferred:
  • CDCA (Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant) or peer recovery certification
  • Knowledge of 12-step programs and recovery community resources
  • Previous supervisory or house management experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to respond to emergencies at any time, day or night
  • Capability to perform light housekeeping and maintenance tasks
  • Ability to remain alert during overnight shifts when needed
