Lead Pastor Job Description:

The Facilities Director (Part-Time) is responsible for creating and maintaining environments where people can experience Jesus without distraction. This role exists to ensure that every space-inside and outside-is safe, clean, functional, and ready for ministry. This leader will oversee key aspects of facility operations, including maintenance coordination, campus readiness, and Sunday preparation. A central focus of this role is building, developing, and leading a strong volunteer team that takes ownership of environments and helps create excellent, welcoming spaces each week. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives not just in doing the work-but in building people who do the work. Ministry Wins (What Success Looks Like) Every environment is ready before people arrive Facilities issues are anticipated and addressed quickly A growing team of volunteers is equipped, empowered, and leading key areas Systems are simple, repeatable, and sustainable Key Responsibilities Facility Oversight & Maintenance Oversee and coordinate basic building and grounds maintenance Schedule and manage repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections Ensure all systems are functioning properly Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization Campus Readiness Ensure all environments are prepared for weekly services and key ministry events Oversee setups, breakdowns, and transitions (primarily through volunteers) Maintain signage, safety systems, and campus appearance Anticipate and solve facility needs Volunteer Team Development (Core Priority) Recruit, train, and lead a strong facilities volunteer team Build a culture of ownership among volunteers Create clear roles, schedules, and expectations Develop team leaders for key areas Equip volunteers with simple systems and clear wins Celebrate and care for volunteers Vendor & Resource Coordination Manage relationships with vendors Coordinate scheduling and ensure quality work Steward resources wisely Sunday & Event Support Serve as facilities lead on Sundays Ensure all environments are ready Troubleshoot issues in real time Lead volunteer teams to execute environments Support major events Safety & Security Maintain safe and secure environments Support safety protocols and emergency readiness Partner with ministry leaders for safety Systems & Organization Create simple systems for setups and facility use Track maintenance and vendor work Use tools like

Planning Center Qualifications Experience :

Experience in facilities, maintenance, or operations preferred Experience leading volunteers preferred Background in trades is a plus

Technical :

Basic knowledge of building systems Familiarity with scheduling tools Comfortable with technology
