THE ROLE
Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the arena to ensure accurate and timely completion of conversion between events including concerts, basketball, ice events, and family shows. This position will supervise and oversee conversion staff, assist with facility repairs and maintenance when needed, assist the Event Services department with show-related requests and continuously monitor building needs and make recommendations. As a manager, the incumbent in this position will also be expected to maintain professional and effective working relationships with all employees of the facility and our clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Hire, supervise, train and develop new and existing employees. Prepare weekly and monthly schedules for both part-time and full-time Conversions/Operations staff. Ensure accurate time cards for hourly staff Review the day-to-day department needs and recommend facility repairs and maintenance where needed. Work with Event Managers on all show-related requests. Monitor expenses and order supplies as needed. Assist in keeping the inside and outside of the facility clean and organized Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the department.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE A
minimum education level of BA/BS Degree (4-year) in a related field or a minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience. 3+ years in sports and entertainment venue preferred Working knowledge of tools, materials, and equipment used in building operations (forklift, power tools, basic tools, etc.) Experience leading and supervising a large, diverse staff Knowledge of budget preparation and monitoring spending Must have skills in planning, coordinating and establishing priorities Knowledge of safety practices to meet OSHA requirements
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent written communication, written and verbal skills Can effectively establish and maintain professional working relationships with others Able to work long hours and some overnights performing difficult work under time pressure Able to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time; push and pull heavy items and equipment Knowledge of the function and operation of a multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility
