The position manages the entire warehouse operations including receiving, packaging & shipping, export compliance, freight management, 3PL & FSL partners, worldwide inventory management, facilities, and housekeeping. The role is also responsible for coordinating safety activities, building regulatory compliance and all facility construction and modification projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: The following is not a comprehensive list of all job duties and expectations. Other tasks and duties may be assigned based on business needs. Demonstrates commitment to core values by leading and behaving in a manner consistent with the company core values. Hands on, detail oriented, data & process driven, positive and 'can-do' attitude, sense of curiosity to solve problems and drive improvements with a sense of urgency. Establishes critical metrics for productivity, inventory, shipping and logistics, 3PL & FSL, to monitor and continuously improve performance. Effectively leads and manages performance of warehouse employees driving productivity and improvement through documentation, training and utilizing metrics. Continually evaluates and improves existing business processes by engaging process owners and ensuring cross training to maintain capability. Actively manages the strategic transportation network to include the selection of providers, investment in interfacing technologies, import/export services and pricing agreements. Manages all aspects of Trade Compliance to include: HTS classification, Country of Origin determination, export declaration filing, record keeping and denied party screening. Implements cost savings and service improvements in support of the transportation strategy. Executes identified projects for storage optimization and facility layout to ensure safe operation and operational efficiency. Establish a well-organized work environment through development and implementation of 6S with clear roles & responsibilities to sustain on an ongoing basis. Actively manages 3PL & FSL partners driving cost reduction, efficiency improvement, inventory optimization, and services support. Effectively manages and drives cost reduction and efficiency optimization. Ensure that all operations comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for staff. Maintains building compliance to all government and legal regulations. Actively drives continuous improvement based on KPIs as appropriate. • Actively participate in developing Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
Essential Education, Skills, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in management, Industrial Engineering, Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 7+ years of experience in leadership and effective performance management. Extensive experience with 5S/6S methodology and successful implementation and management. 5+ years of experience in ERP transactions, WMS, and data analysis driving continuous improvement. 10+ years of experience with warehouse operations and global logistics. 5+ years of experience in managing strategic partnerships. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to effectively plan and manage various tasks simultaneously. A true team player, exhibiting quality and customer (internal and external) mindedness. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external interactions. Experience with ISO9000 requirements, development of procedures for the reliable execution of daily operations, transactions, and information processing.
Managerial Responsibilities:
Manages the Warehouse, Logistics, Shipping, and Facility functions. Leads an organization of up to 15 employees or larger as the business conditions warrant it. Effectively carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Establishes the job profiles and skills requirements for each role on the team, establishing skills matrix, coaching/mentoring, and developing career paths. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; Planning assigning and directing work both short and long term; appraising performance; developing, rewarding and disciplining employees as appropriate; effectively addressing complaints and resolving problems. The base pay range for this role is between $90,000 and $140,000 and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location, along with budgeted range of position.
