Contract Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to oversee and maintain critical building systems and utilities in a fast-paced operational environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of facility infrastructure while supporting continuous operations and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management Serve as the primary point of accountability for all building systems and utilities. Oversee HVAC, steam and boiler systems, water systems, electrical systems, compressed air systems, and related mechanical infrastructure. Develop, implement, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Monitor equipment and system performance to identify and mitigate operational risks. Operational Reliability Ensure continuous operation of critical utilities in a 24/7 environment. Lead troubleshooting and resolution efforts during equipment failures and emergencies. Participate in after-hours response activities when required. Develop contingency and redundancy plans to minimize operational disruptions. Safety & Compliance Maintain compliance with safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE requirements. Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. Support audits, inspections, and documentation requirements. Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence. Vendor & Project Management Manage service providers, contractors, and vendor relationships. Oversee maintenance budgets and support capital improvement initiatives. Coordinate equipment installations, commissioning activities, and facility expansion projects. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Leadership & Documentation Provide hands-on support to maintenance teams when needed. Maintain organized mechanical and maintenance areas. Ensure accurate records of inspections, repairs, and system performance. Demonstrate strong leadership, professionalism, and responsiveness. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 5 years of facilities, plant, equipment, or maintenance management experience in manufacturing, healthcare, industrial, production, or similar environments. Strong knowledge of HVAC, boilers, steam systems, water systems, electrical systems, and mechanical infrastructure. Experience developing and managing preventive maintenance programs. Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex mechanical systems. Experience managing vendors, contractors, and maintenance budgets. Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. OSHA training, technical certifications, or related credentials preferred. GA01
