- 1,875/week) based on experience Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to oversee and maintain critical building systems and infrastructure within a fast-paced production and healthcare support environment.
This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of facility operations while supporting uninterrupted business continuity. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in mechanical systems, utilities management, preventive maintenance, and facility operations. This position requires a proactive leader who can manage daily facility needs, coordinate vendors, support compliance initiatives, and respond effectively to operational challenges. Responsibilities Facility Infrastructure Management Serve as the primary point of accountability for all facility systems and utilities. Oversee steam and boiler systems, water systems, HVAC, electrical systems, compressed air systems, and related mechanical infrastructure. Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Monitor equipment and system performance to identify and resolve potential issues before operational disruptions occur. Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and system documentation. Operational Reliability & Emergency Response Ensure uninterrupted operation of critical facility utilities and infrastructure. Lead troubleshooting and corrective action efforts during equipment failures or facility emergencies. Participate in and coordinate after-hours response activities when necessary. Develop contingency plans and redundancy strategies to minimize operational risk and downtime. Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE standards, and workplace safety regulations. Maintain compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Support audit readiness through accurate documentation and regulatory adherence. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the facility. Vendor & Project Management Manage service contracts, vendor relationships, and contractor performance. Monitor maintenance budgets and assist with capital improvement planning. Coordinate facility upgrades, equipment installations, commissioning activities, and expansion projects. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and long-term cost savings. Leadership & Team Support Provide hands-on support during critical maintenance activities when required. Ensure maintenance and mechanical areas remain clean, organized, and compliant. Foster a professional, responsive, and solutions-oriented work environment. Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts. Required Qualifications Experience Minimum 5 years of facilities, plant operations, equipment maintenance, or facilities management experience. Experience in healthcare, manufacturing, industrial, production, or related environments preferred. Proven experience managing preventive maintenance programs and facility operations.
Technical Knowledge Strong knowledge of:
Steam and boiler systems HVAC systems Water treatment and utility systems Electrical infrastructure Mechanical systems and equipment Compressed air systems Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex facility and mechanical issues. Skills Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Experience managing vendors, contractors, and service agreements. Knowledge of facility safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements. Ability to manage priorities in a 24/7 operational environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Preferred Qualifications Technical certifications related to facilities management, mechanical systems, or building operations. OSHA training or safety certifications.
