Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is essential in providing support, guidance, and therapeutic interventions to enhance the well-being of our clients. The Therapist will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans, under the supervision of our LMFT. Duties Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address clients' mental health needs. Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis techniques to develop behavior management strategies. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records for each client, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Collect and analyze data related to client progress and treatment effectiveness. Provide patient care by assessing needs, developing treatment goals, and implementing therapeutic interventions. Engage in conflict management strategies to resolve issues that may arise during therapy sessions. Collaborate with other professionals to create comprehensive care plans tailored to each client's unique situation. Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, coping strategies, and available resources. Qualifications Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field. Licensure or certification as required by state regulations for therapists. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Proficiency in medical documentation practices and familiarity with maintaining medical records. Strong skills in conflict management and the ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism. Knowledge of data collection methods related to behavioral analysis and mental health outcomes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
