Job Description

About the
Role:
Ready to lead with impact? Join CBRE as a Senior Facilities Manager and take ownership of a high-profile, large-scale corporate office environment where your leadership directly shapes workplace performance and client experience. This is a chance to step into a strategic facilities role with real influence while driving operational excellence, optimizing building performance, and setting the standard for service delivery. You'll lead the day-to-day facilities operations for a 500,000-square-foot office campus, ensuring reliability, efficiency, safety, and compliance across the portfolio. Working closely with Property Managers, landlords, and service partners, you'll deliver a seamless, elevated workplace experience while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation. The role is based onsite with a key client in Menlo Park, California, offering strong visibility, hands-on engagement, and the opportunity to build trusted relationships while managing a dynamic, fast-paced office environment.
What You'll Do:
Lead and coordinate facility repairs and maintenance by partnering with technicians, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality service. Foster strong client relationships through proactive communication and regular meetings to address and resolve facility-related concerns. Plan, prepare, and manage large-scale and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports with precision and strategic oversight. Conduct facility inspections and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining high standards of quality assurance. Identify opportunities for operational improvements, repairs, and upgrades, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and performance. Develop and enforce environmental health and safety procedures tailored to each facility's needs. Build and maintain vendor relationships, oversee invoicing processes, and review and approve purchase orders for parts, services, and labor. Apply broad business and technical knowledge to align facilities operations with departmental goals and cross-functional initiatives. Provide formal supervision to staff, including performance evaluations, coaching, training, and development planning. Manage daily team operations by setting work schedules, assigning tasks, cross-training staff, and tracking departmental deadlines. Serve as a mentor and role model, promoting CBRE's RISE values and influencing others through leadership and collaboration. Solve complex technical and operational challenges with a strategic and solutions-oriented mindset. Recognize and address the broader impact of decisions across the department, driving continuous improvement in methods, processes, and standards.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience; a combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Facility Management certification (e.g., IFMA, BOMA) is preferred. Proven experience in budget management, including accruals, deferrals, and variance reporting. Demonstrated success in staffing, training, development, coaching, performance management, and retention strategies. Strong ability to communicate complex and sensitive information clearly and effectively, while setting expectations and resolving challenges. Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and align operational goals across roles and functions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related applications. Excellent organizational skills and a proactive, curious mindset. Solid understanding of financial and operational math, including percentages, fractions, and other calculations. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Why CBRE? CBRE offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, and a 401(k) plan starting the first day of the month following your start date. We are committed to investing in our employees' growth and development through training programs, certifications, and mentorship opportunities. CBRE is a global leader in commercial real estate services, providing ample opportunities for career progression and advancement within the company.
