Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Facility Cleaning Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing and warehouse environment. This role takes ownership of the overall condition and presentation of the facility, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness align with company values and operational standards. Cleanliness directly impacts safety, efficiency, and product quality; therefore, this position plays a critical role in supporting safe and effective plant operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and organization of all manufacturing, warehouse, office, and common areas. Perform sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and washing of floors and surfaces. Operate floor cleaning equipment, including sit-down and walk-behind sweepers and scrubbers. Perform dusting, cobweb removal, and cleaning of walls, ceilings, and structural surfaces. Clean inside and outside windows using approved tools and methods. Wash walls and floors using hand tools and pressure washing equipment as required. Perform painting and touch-up work as needed to maintain facility appearance. Empty waste receptacles and ensure proper disposal and recycling practices are followed. Maintain cleanliness of outside grounds, walkways, and surrounding facility areas. Monitor, track, and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment. Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or facility issues to supervision promptly. Perform miscellaneous facility support duties as assigned. Actively promote and follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards. Performance Expectations Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and audit-ready facility. Support a safe work environment through proactive housekeeping and hazard identification. Demonstrate ownership, reliability, and attention to detail in all assigned areas. Required Skills, Training & Qualifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed. Willingness and ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions. Forklift experience is a plus but not required (training provided if needed). Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use hand tools for extended periods. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
