MAJOR DUTIES

: Incumbents time spent assisting their supervisor in the purchase, upkeep and maintenance of equipment registered on Consolided Memorandum Receipts, and will make regular and detailed checks for sanition, cleanliness and safety of all areas and equipment. May assist in the proper training of staff on all aspects of the facilities and programs. May be responsible for gear issue and receipt of gear check-in. Assist in the layout and preparion of programs and/or facilities, hletic fields, courts and tracks. Deals with prons to resolve complaints and grievances. May assist in the planning and scheduling of staff work assignments to accommode weekends, evenings and holidays, as well as employee performance appraisals and other personnel actions. Facility is open 24/7 and includes the operion of unmanned hours. Incumbents will also be required to teach group exercise classes, provide fitness programming, administer fitness and health assessments, teach health and fitness classes, work races and represent Semper Fit special events. In the absence of the supervisor, may act as the MCCS area liaison/representive with the area command, sharing informion about all of the facilities in th area. Supports all Warrior Athlete Readiness and Resilience (WARR) programming and services and Marine Corps Total Fitness (MCTF) stregy. Constantly provides World Class Customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye conduct. Asks questions to determine, verify, and solve problems. Checks for sisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Performs other reled duties as assigned

: May receive and register payment for services using a cash register.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Must support other programs within Semper Fit when called upon such as the Hard Corps Race Series, Single Marine Program (SMP), Athletics, etc. Maintain confidentially when collecting Personally Identifiable Informion (PII), HIPPA, and open lines of communicion. Must possess a valid ste driver¿s license .

WORKING CONDITIONS

: Must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends. This job requires mobility and flexibility working throughout the base different locions and times. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Requires extended periods of standing and walking on tile floors. Adheres to safety regulions and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupional illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immedie supervisor. EVALUATIONS

Qualificions Must have one year experience in fitness, health, sports or group exercise with a minimum of two years customer service experience. A degree from an accredited college/university in a reled field is preferred and may be substituted for three years of experience. Must be certified as a personal fitness trainer by a nionally accredited certifying organizion or obtain within six months. Must currently have or obtain within six months a group exercise certificion. This certificion must be kept current throughout employment. Must be certified in CPR within 3 months and remain certified during durion of employment. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nional Agency Check with Inquiries and Ste Criminal History Repository Check (CNACI) background checks which are required for positions th involve working with children under 18 years of age.
