This role requires a hands-on operator capable of effectively dividing time between both buildings to ensure uniform standards of care and maximum occupancy. Expectations & Accountability This position requires a high degree of operational ownership. Because you will be managing a split 37-bed footprint across two separate facilities, strong organizational skills, self-direction, and multi-site coordination are critical. We hold our administrators to precise performance metrics regarding state audits, staffing stability, budget management, and census targets. This is not a passive oversight role. If you struggle with multi-location logistics, fluid schedules, or direct accountability for compliance and occupancy outcomes, this will not be a good fit. However, if you excel at building reliable operational systems, maintaining strict regulatory compliance, and driving community growth, this role offers significant professional autonomy. Core Responsibilities (The Outcomes)
Multi-Site Operations:
Direct the day-to-day operations, staffing schedules, and labor budgets for both Huntington Manor (27 beds) and Villa Bernardo (10 beds).
Occupancy & Census Management:
Take direct ownership of facility occupancy. Conduct building tours for prospective residents and families, manage the inquiry pipeline, and maintain relationships with local hospital discharge planners, case managers, and referral sources to maximize census.
Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain a deficiency-free compliance record with Community Care Licensing (CCL) and California Department of Social Services (CDSS) across both physical sites.
Workforce Management:
Recruit, train, and manage a stable care and case management team, minimizing or eliminating reliance on outside registry staffing.
Program Integration:
Coordinate the intake, billing, and care logistics for residents utilizing Medi-Cal programs.
Qualifications & Requirements Certification:
Current, valid California RCFE Administrator Certification (Required).
Experience:
3+ years of direct leadership experience running a senior living facility or residential healthcare environment. Multi-site or portfolio oversight experience is highly preferred.
Sales/Marketing Skill:
Proven track record of conducting tours, managing admissions, and successfully maintaining or improving facility occupancy.
Knowledge:
Expert-level understanding of Title 22 and CCL regulations.
Capability:
Proven track record of managing facility budgets, state inspections, and staff accountability.
Compensation & Benefits Starting Base Salary:
$70,500 - $73,000 / year (Depending on Experience)
Performance Bonuses:
Up to $10,000 / year (Strictly back-ended, paid quarterly only if the buildings maintain 95%+ occupancy and zero Type-A compliance deficiencies).
Benefits:
PTO (eligible after 90 days). How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief summary of your recent regulatory track record, occupancy successes, and your experience managing multi-site or residential care facilities.
Pay:
$70,304.00 - $72,983.46 per year
Benefits:
Paid time off
Work Location:
