About the Role We are seeking a motivated, organized, and customer-focused Facility Customer Service Manager to oversee daily operations at our self-storage facility in Richmond, CA. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in an independent work environment, takes ownership of their facility, and consistently delivers excellent customer service. Our customers expect efficiency, professionalism, and attention to detail—this position plays a key role in meeting and exceeding those expectations. Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service in person, by phone, and via email Oversee daily facility operations, including sales, customer accounts, and security Process rentals, payments, invoices, and daily operational reports Manage billing, delinquencies, collection calls, and account follow-ups Balance daily receipts and cash drawer accurately Assist with lien procedures and quarterly storage auctions Perform clerical tasks including filing, scanning, and data entry Promote and sell storage units, retail items, and related services Coordinate marketing efforts and local promotions Maintain facility cleanliness, curb appeal, and overall appearance Conduct regular property patrols and monitor perimeter security Address customer concerns and de-escalate difficult situations professionally Qualifications & Skills Proven customer service and sales experience Strong de-escalation skills when handling challenging customer situations Prior property management or self-storage experience required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions Employment history with verifiable references Valid California Driver's License Clean background (background check required prior to employment) Weekend availability required (Tuesday-Saturday schedule) Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay: $23.00 - $25.00 (DOE) Medical insurance Paid vacation time Stable, full-time position with autonomy and responsibility How to Apply Please submit your resume along with two professional references .
