GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position oversees, provides direction to, and represents all activities and responsibilities assigned to and appropriate for Corporate Services, Facilities, and Physical Security. Oversight responsibilities include Facilities management (enterprise headquarters, retail locations (75+ sites), remote ATMs (90+ sites), offsite facilities (2+ sites)), lease administration, budgeting, Physical Security, procurement and purchasing, mail operations, corporate vehicle fleet management, courier administration, and in-house print production. Oversees the management of all services for credit union building and maintenance projects, routine repair services, and related improvements including renovations and new facilities construction. Oversees the management of the Corporate Security department in support of the physical security activities necessary to protect the employees and assets of the credit union. Ensure maximum efficiency of operations, member and client satisfaction in fulfillment efforts and compliance with corporate policies.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS
1. Plan and analyze alternatives and implementing new programs and services related to: 1) corporate vehicles, purchasing, print shop and mail room operations 2) corporate and branch facility maintenance and new construction, 3) lease administration for branch and off-site ATM locations and 5) corporate security. Prepare periodic verbal and written updates of departments for management. 2. Attend and participate in leadership operations meetings. Participate in project management teams to support operations and credit union departments, correspond with members/staff representing senior management. 3. Review, analyze and take appropriate actions on all procedural recommendations for efficiency and soundness. Ensure the senior management is immediately informed of any credit union performance issues and communications of operations or CU notifications are completed timely. 4. Provide leadership direction to Corporate Services and Security Managers in the current fulfillment of their responsibilities, their execution, personal development and development of staff, production direction including best practices, meeting and exceeding member and external staff needs, responding to production challenges including those associated with print shop and mail processing, purchasing, corporate vehicles, branch and corporate facility maintenance, new construction, and physical security, and lease administration, duties in addition to other assigned responsibilities. 5. Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including, but not limited to, bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position, ADA, and OSHA requirements. 6. Foster a positive and engaging work environment for each team member by promoting skill development, coaching for improvement and growth, inspiring others through your words and actions, ensuring positive employee morale throughout Golden 1, and embracing our mission, vision, and core values. 7. Provide direction of the management of the services for repair, maintenance, and standards of all facilities, providing direction in vendor selection; work scheduling and corporate-wide scheduling of various internal and external trades; facilities standards development. Work with contractors and sub-contractors to obtain and assess bids for branch buildouts, renovations, and new construction. Coordinate vendors to complete project tasks within schedule and budget. Ensure facilities are maintained to Golden 1 standards. 8. Provide direction in the management of the critical third-party lease maintenance. Assure critical lease agreements are being managed in a timely and complete fashion through business areas. Maintain appropriate documentation. 9. Direct the development of managers and employees through training, development, and coaching. Provide direction to managers on the annual budget, cost accounting, and variance reporting. Assure that management staff provides professional communications to all staff and management to ensure staff maintains a current knowledge on credit union policies, procedures, and strategic goals. 10. Review, recommend, and negotiate vendor contracts. Review and pay incoming invoices relating to Facilities, Corporate Services, and Security. 11. Perform project management oversight. Research, analyze and prepare project forms for project approval process. Manages all new and ongoing projects related to Facilities and Corporate Services functions. 12. Maintain and develop a professional network with vendors and other credit unions management teams. Review, recommend and negotiate vendor's contracts. Prepare periodic verbal and written updates of departments for management. Maintain professional vendor partners for the credit union products and services. 13. Provide assistance as requested by VP, other departments, or staff team members. Prepare annual budgets and track variances for areas of responsibility. 14. Develop and maintain an understanding of the pertinent regulatory requirements and risks inherent to job responsibilities, establish, and maintain control activities that mitigate those risks consistent with the Credit Union's risk appetite, and ensure operational integrity and compliance with applicable regulations.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS
1. Effective oral and written communication skills required to train and evaluate draft of procedural recommendations, negotiate vendor contracts, and perform other related tasks. 2. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as financial calculators, personal computer, facsimile machine, and telephone.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience. 2.
EXPERIENCE
7-10 years or more experience in Facilities management, Corporate Services, and/or Physical Security and/or facilities in a corporate setting. 5-7 years or more of progressively responsible direct management and supervisory experience within a credit union, financial institution, or retail environment. 3.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Strong verbal, written communication skills Strong Managerial, leadership, organizational skills. Strong lease management and negotiation skills Human Resources skills related to staff management. Excellent member relations skills a must. Strong knowledge and skills in procurement and postal services regulations and mail operations, courier logistics and managing a Graphic Design department (Print Shop) and strong contract administration skills are required. Strong facilities management of geographical dispersed locations. Strong business resumption planning and facilities management, working with vendors typically in this line of work. Strong Project management or project team experience. Skills and knowledge in preparing RFP for vendor services. Strong knowledge in PC, email, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project software, Facsimile machine, mail equipment, etc. required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required. 2. Corrected vision within the normal range. 3. Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed. 4. Ability to lift 50 lbs. as may be required. 5. Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc. 6. Occasionally long work hours may be required to accomplish tasks. 7. Moderate local and statewide travel by car or public conveyance.
