  • Full-time We are excited to be looking for our new Facility Director at the University of California
  • Santa Barbara chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta .
This is a live-in position which includes room and board in a furnished suite within the chapter house. The facility director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility, which includes, but is not limited to: Provide a safe, supportive, positive environment for a chapter of 250 college women; 42 living in the chapter house Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the facility for daily living; open and close the facility in accordance with the University academic calendar. Interview, hire, train, and supervise a small staff of kitchen and housekeeping personnel Oversee food service and assist with menu planning for daily meals and special events. Manage, schedule and oversee vendor and contractor work Promptly address needed repairs and coordinate preventative maintenance work Maintain inventory, purchase necessary housekeeping supplies and maintain a record of expenditures Ongoing communication with supervisor, chapter advisors, and collegiate officers Attend required meetings and events; provide requested reports as needed Follow and ensure compliance with the chapter facility rules as well as federal, state and local laws and regulations. Desired skills and qualifications include : Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with college students, parents, alumnae, university representatives, community members, staff and vendors Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to communicate in person and through e-mail, phone calls, texts, video calls, audio messages, group chats, document scanning Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace Follow and maintain an established budget Ability to recognize and coordinate service for home maintenance and repairs High sensitivity to and proper handling of sensitive and confidential information Previous Facility Director or similar experience helpful
