Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Operations & Maintenance Oversee all building systems across multiple facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, fire/life safety, and pest control Manage preventive maintenance programs and maintain service/repair records for all systems and company-owned equipment (forklifts, conveyors, baler, vehicles, etc.) Develop and manage 24/7 emergency response protocols for building access, utilities, and evacuations Maintain master keying system and building access control records Manage custodial and grounds operations, including supply inventory and vendor oversight Vendor & Contractor Management Source, contract, and supervise outside vendors and contractors across all trades Review scope of work, assess quality, and ensure timely completion Maintain organized vendor files including contracts, insurance certificates, and service records Serve as primary liaison to landlords and property management contacts; escalate issues to leadership with appropriate documentation Lease & Property Coordination Understand lease obligations across EE's facilities and flag concerns or ambiguities to leadership Coordinate landlord communications and support any inspections, compliance walkthroughs, or property-related disputes Support leadership in evaluating facility needs, including space planning and potential relocation analysis Safety & Compliance Serve as the primary point of accountability for OSHA compliance, Cal/OSHA regulations, and workplace safety standards Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain required documentation Develop, maintain, and train staff on emergency action plans, evacuation procedures, and safety programs Coordinate with HR on injury/incident reporting and return-to-work programs Budget & Administration Prepare and manage the annual facilities budget; report actuals vs. plan to leadership Submit and track work orders; maintain accurate records in applicable systems Prepare capital expenditure recommendations with cost-benefit analysis as needed Submit timely and accurate timesheets and administrative reporting for the department Team Leadership Hire, onboard, coach, and develop facilities staff Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement development or improvement plans as needed Establish clear expectations, schedules, and coverage plans for the team Conduct check-ins with cross-functional leadership Qualifications 5+ years of facilities management experience, preferably in a warehouse/distribution or mixed-use environment Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression) Experience managing vendor contracts and outside contractors Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and make data-driven decisions Familiarity with OSHA requirements and California workplace safety regulations Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; experience with work order or CMMS systems preferred Effective communicator — able to write clear documentation, interface with leadership, and manage vendor relationships professionally Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work as needed The Facilities Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of Entertainment Earth's physical facilities -currently two sites in Simi Valley, CA (warehouse and office). This role serves as the internal expert and day-to-day owner of all building systems, vendor relationships, maintenance programs, and safety compliance. The Facilities Manager brings both hands-on facilities expertise and the organizational maturity to manage budgets, lead a small team, and interface credibly with leadership, outside counsel, and landlords when needed.Similar remote jobs
