Dog Groomer (FACILITY SUPERVISOR)

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Dog Groomer and Facility Supervisor for our grooming, daycare and boarding departments, where you will lead the facility operations while ensuring the highest standards of animal care and customer service. This role combines hands-on pet grooming expertise with supervisory responsibilities, creating a lively and engaging environment for both pets and clients. You'll oversee daily grooming, daycare & boarding schedules, maintain a clean and safe facility, and support pet owners with compassionate advice. Your energetic & punctual leadership will foster a positive atmosphere that promotes pet well-being, staff development, and operational excellence. Duties Supervise daily grooming, daycare & boarding appointments, ensuring timely and quality service for each pet Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping with precision and care Manage the grooming, daycare and boarding teams by providing training, guidance, and support to maintain high standards of animal handling and pet care Oversee the safety protocols related to animal restraint, handling, and grooming procedures to ensure a secure environment for pets and staff Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming stations and facility areas in accordance with health regulations Assist with pet care activities such as feeding, administering medications if needed, and monitoring health conditions during grooming sessions Coordinate with veterinary professionals when necessary to address special medical or behavioral needs of pets Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician, groomer or assistant Strong knowledge of animal restraint methods Familiarity with veterinary procedures or veterinary experience is highly desirable Ability to lift heavy objects safely (heavy lifting) and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Prior kennel experience or pet care background is a plus Demonstrated animal handling skills across various breeds and temperaments Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for animals
