DOCK AND FACILITIES ASSISTANT

The Dock and Facilities Assistant based out of Atelier Delaware in New Castle, Delaware is important to the day to day operations of the storage teams. They're responsible for upholding the high standard of quality, organization, and cleanliness of the Atelier Fine Art Storage Facilities.

Role Summary:

Keep the restrooms, break rooms, and dock facilities clean for the use and convenience of staff and clients while receiving, sorting it and distributing incoming packages to the appropriate parties.

$15/hr•$18/hr

Primary Responsibilities:

Facility Cleaning and Organization:

General cleaning and organization of facilities used by Atelier staff and clients. Proactively clean multiple restrooms, break rooms, and dock areas. Clean toilets, vacuum, mop, wipe down surfaces, and take out trash on a daily basis. Restock soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other janitorial supplies. Keep the loading dock area clean and free of debris and obstructions. Sweep, mop, take out trash, and run electric floor scrubber in the loading dock and storage areas. Clean restrooms, break areas and docks at the satellite location .5 mi away.

Mail/Package Sorting and Distribution:

Be ready to respond when package carriers such as Fed Ex, UPS, US Postal Service, DHL, or freight carriers arrive. Greet package carriers and alert appropriate parties. Physically help unload packages while checking and reading labels. Distribute packages to the appropriate party. Stage any unknown packages in appropriate locations until properly assigned. Supervise outgoing package pickups. Process high package volume on a daily basis.

General Atelier Protocols:

Interact professionally with clients, visitors and colleagues. Work between two facilities on either side of the industrial park. Dress code including uniform shirt and black pants, dark jeans, khaki pants or similar shorts required.

Essential requirements:

Punctual and reliable, able to arrive on time and ready to work. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to perform hands-on, physical cleaning tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Physical, visual, and hearing demands necessary to perform the job duties, include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, move, and stand for extended periods on a concrete floor. Comfort and ability to safely use basic tools, high lifts, and ladders. Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation required for travel between two facilities within the industrial park. Willingness to participate in a background check.
