Wood Treatment Facility Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dependable Facility Assistant to support the Foreman with daily operations at our wood treatment facility. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities

• Assist the Foreman with daily facility operations and production tasks
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Support inventory management, material handling, and organization of lumber products
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently throughout the facility
• Assist with basic mechanical and electrical functions related to equipment and machinery
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Help load, unload, and move lumber and materials as needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines Qualifications
• Forklift certification required
• Basic understanding of lumber, wood products, and general machinery
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor equipment repairs and maintenance
• Basic electrical knowledge preferred
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in an industrial environment
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Skills
• Experience in manufacturing, lumber, woodworking, or industrial facilities
• Familiarity with production equipment and preventative maintenance
