We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the outdoor areas on our property. This role involves performing general landscaping tasks, such as mowing, trimming, planting, and caring for plants, as well as ensuring that all outdoor spaces are neat, tidy, and hazard-free. The Groundskeeper will also assist with routine maintenance and repairs to outdoor equipment and structures. Key Responsibilities :
Landscape Maintenance :
Mow lawns, trim hedges, shrubs, and trees; weed flower beds, and maintain gardens and other green spaces. Seasonal Tasks :
Rake leaves and perform seasonal plantings and removals as required. General Grounds Maintenance :
Clean and maintain walkways, parking lots, and common areas. Empty trash cans and maintain outdoor waste management systems. Equipment Care :
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers, trimmers, and snowplows. Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any malfunctions. Repairs and Upkeep :
Assist with minor repairs to outdoor fixtures like fences, benches, and playgrounds. Paint and maintain outdoor structures as necessary. Safety & Compliance :
Ensure all grounds maintenance tasks are performed safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations. Pest Control :
Monitor for and manage any pest infestations in outdoor areas, including using appropriate methods for pest control. Additional Duties :
Assist with event setups, help with deliveries, and perform other duties as required. Qualifications & Requirements :
Experience :
Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field preferred, but not required. Physical Stamina :
Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Knowledge :
Basic knowledge of plants, trees, and lawn care; understanding of the safe operation of landscaping tools and equipment. Skills :
Strong attention to detail; good problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team. Communication :
Good verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Work Hours :
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed, depending on weather conditions and seasonal demands. Driver's License :
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Safety :
Ability to work safely around chemicals, tools, and equipment; willingness to follow safety protocols and wear protective gear when necessary. Other :
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift over 50 pounds. Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain). Ability to walk, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed for tasks. Job Type:
