Coordinates and presents District plans to outside agencies, general public, and other District staff. Develops facility needs using student demographic studies and other information and makes recommendations. Monitors facilities project budgets and provide planning assistance for budgets and projections. Essential Functions 1. Forecasts, plans, budgets, and develops capital projection costs for the five-year work program. 2. Maintains Master School Planning list. Analyzes data from various sources and integrates to make recommendations for planning purposes. 3. Assists other District offices by developing data and providing planning projections. 4. Maintains master facilities projects lists and associated documentation for projects. 5. Develops project scopes in conjunction with other District offices, school administrators, and maintenance personnel. 6. Maintains documentation and files. 7. Leads and maintains communications with district and external contacts. Provides reports on project status and responds to emails and other correspondence. 9. Provides guidance and assists school administrators and parent groups. 10. Administration Building Principal 11. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Construction Management, Education, or related field, from an accredited college or university. Experience can be substituted for post-secondary education with a required high school diploma or GED.
Experience:
Two (2) years experience at the management and/or supervisor level, responsible for planning, programming, construction, contract management, scheduling of maintenance functions, and/or coordination of annual service contracts. Experience in budgeting and basic spreadsheet accounting.
Certifications & Licenses:
NA Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Knowledge of Florida State Statutes and Administrative Rules, State Requirements for Education Facilities (SREF) rules, regulations, and procedures. Knowledge of local government land development regulations and procedures. Strong word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software skills. Strong project management software skills. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Basic computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) skills. Ability to plan, organize, schedule, coordinate, and implement project related functions. Ability to influence, guide, and motivate others. Ability to exercise sound independent judgment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to meet project deadlines. Ability to complete projects within budget.
