Job Description

The Director of Operations at Evolutions Treatment Center is responsible for overseeing all housing and facility operations. This position provides supervision and support to all departments under the Operations umbrella, including Behavioral and Mental Health Technicians, Maintenance & Janitorial, Case Management, Intake Coordinators, and Kitchen. The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing, directing, and implementing all administrative, functional, and program operations of the organization's non-clinical and non-medical departments and processes. This is a salaried leadership role. The Director of Operations is expected to remain accessible and responsive to team needs outside of scheduled hours as operational demands require. Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across all non-clinical and non-medical departments
  • Provide direct supervision, leadership, and support to department heads and staff within Operations
  • Ensure all housing and facility operations are running efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Monitor and manage departmental performance, workflow, and staffing to meet organizational goals
  • Collaborate with clinical and medical leadership to ensure seamless, integrated care for clients
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices across all departments
  • Manage intake coordination processes to ensure smooth client admissions and transitions
  • Oversee kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and nutritional standards
  • Ensure maintenance and janitorial departments maintain a clean, safe, and functional facility
  • Support the Case Management team in coordinating client services and community resources
  • Monitor and manage operational budgets, resources, and vendor relationships
  • Address and resolve operational issues, escalating critical matters as appropriate
  • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to organizational planning and growth initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with AHCA, DCF, and all applicable state and federal regulations
  • Foster a positive, professional, and mission-driven work culture across all departments Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage multiple departments simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing operational needs
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing behavioral health and substance abuse treatment facilities (AHCA, DCF)
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Corporate Integrity and Compliance Programs
  • Familiarity with community resources and referral networks
  • Proficiency with current technology and operational management tools Must thrive in a fast-paced, structured healthcare environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an operations management or leadership role, preferably within a behavioral health, substance abuse, or healthcare setting
  • Experience supervising multi-disciplinary teams
  • Level 2 Background Clearance required per AHCA and DCF standards
  • Valid Florida driver's license preferred
  • Strong understanding of residential treatment operations and regulatory compliance
