Facilities & Emergency Operations Location:
Orlando, FL Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM•5:00 PM We are seeking a dependable and motivated General Services Specialist to support facilities operations, logistics, inventory management, and emergency response activities throughout the Central Florida region. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and supporting day-to-day operational needs across multiple sites. This position requires professionalism, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a wide variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Support daily facilities and operational needs across multiple office locations Maintain and distribute PPE, emergency supplies, and inventory Assist with office moves, furniture setup, and equipment relocation Install whiteboards, bulletin boards, signage, and office fixtures Manage employee keys, access cards, and related tracking systems Maintain warehouse organization and surplus property procedures Perform site inspections and identify/report safety concerns Assist with vehicle management and maintain vehicle logs Support emergency preparedness and disaster response activities Coordinate with IT and other departments during office relocations Ensure facilities are operating properly, including lighting and basic building conditions Safely move large furniture and equipment using proper tools and equipment Maintain professionalism while interacting with staff at all locations Requirements Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to occasionally travel within the Central Florida region Ability to lift and move heavy office furniture and equipment Comfortable using hand tools, dollies, and basic equipment Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Basic computer and documentation skills Professional attitude and customer service mindset Preferred Qualifications Experience in facilities support, warehouse operations, logistics, maintenance, or field operations Experience working in government, public sector, or emergency management environments Inventory management or fleet management experience is a plus Additional Information Occasional overnight travel may be required during emergency situations State vehicle provided for work-related travel from the reporting location Hotel accommodations and meal reimbursement provided during approved overnight emergency assignments This is a highly visible role supporting multiple facilities and operational teams

$15.00•$15.50 per hour
