Overview:
The Facilities Specialist reports to the Facilities Supervisor and assists with the general maintenance and upkeep of the Port Orange facilities. The objective of the position is to keep the facilities completely safe, fully operational, and efficient. The Facilities Specialist helps and aids other departments when required.
Responsibilities:
Duties include both general and specific maintenance and support tasks such as painting, plumbing, minor repair work, performing minor maintenance on air conditioners, light manufacturing machinery and equipment, Operating a forklift and scissors lift. Conducting preventative maintenance in accordance with established schedules and maintenance of accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and services. Manage office relocations, reconfigurations, and setup for new employees. Other duties include general internal clean-up and sweeping, re-stocking kitchenette areas with supplies, exterior maintenance, and support, and assuring the facility is locked and secure. Assist in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a secure and hazard-free environment. Support emergency response procedures and regular safety drills. Coordinate with management and security personnel to manage access control systems, surveillance, and alarm systems. May be required to work in other areas such as material control, manufacturing assembly, field service, shipping, receiving and delivery. Additional duties as required
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. 1+ years of experience in general facilities maintenance including electrical repair, general carpentry, plumbing, and materials handling
Physical Demands:
Must be able to climb ladders, operate power tools and equipment. Capable of lifting at least 45lbs unassisted. Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen or permanent resident).
