Job Description
Planet 13 Florida (formerly VidaCann) is proud to be one of the largest, most advanced and sustainable providers of medical cannabis in Florida. Our mission is to help our Florida friends and neighbors live their healthiest lives with our all-natural, sun-grown cannabis products. We are currently looking for a Facilities Manager to lead facility operations at our cultivation site! The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility operations, including the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical systems throughout the site. This position manages HVAC, lighting, irrigation, water treatment, electrical, plumbing, and security systems while ensuring all equipment and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local, state, and industry regulations. The Facilities Manager also oversees preventative maintenance programs, supports cultivation and production operations, coordinates with vendors and internal teams, and helps maintain a clean, secure, and fully operational facility environment essential to the success of the organization.
Lead and manage the maintenance team, ensuring technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated to perform safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs,conductdaily inspections of the facility and equipment toidentifypotentialissuesand required repairs.
Ensure strict compliance with all safety policies and procedures tomaintaina zero-injury work environment.
Analyze and prioritize work requests, developing job plans based on work orders.
Manage tools, equipment, and supply inventory:
Ensure all tools aremaintainedin a safe and usable condition.
Recommend upgrades or purchases of new equipment as needed.
Enforce proper storage procedures.
Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.
Develop and managemaintenancework schedules, estimating time and resource requirements for planned jobs.
Operate heavy equipment as needed.
Oversee security measures to ensure the facilityremainssafe and compliant.
Manage janitorial responsibilities, ensuring the facilityremainsclean and well-maintained.
Supervise new construction projects, tracking progress, enforcing safety protocols, and resolving any issues or delays.
Comply withall HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
Assistwith the implementation of company policies, standard operating procedures, and performance standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Daily compliance with Company policies including but not limitedto;state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
The employee isfrequentlyrequired to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employeeis occasionally required toclimb or balance andtasteor smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depthperceptionand ability to adjust focus.
Pay Range:
$75k-$80k Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following: Other duties may be assigned.
