Job Description
Director of Facilities First Baptist Church Richmond Hill is seeking a dedicated and servant-hearted Director of Facilities to oversee the maintenance, operation, safety, and stewardship of our church and school campus. This individual will play a vital role in supporting the ministry of our church by ensuring that our facilities are safe, welcoming, functional, and prepared for worship, discipleship, education, and community outreach. The Director of Facilities reports directly to the Associate Pastor and works closely with church and school leadership to provide strategic oversight of campus operations, maintenance, custodial services, groundskeeping, and facility improvements. Responsibilities Facility Operations Oversee the daily operations of all church and school facilities. Coordinate and manage facility use, room scheduling, and space allocation. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs. Coordinate routine and emergency repairs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, security, and other building systems. Maintain records of maintenance activities, contracts, inspections, and facility improvements. Grounds & Contractor Management Oversee custodial services and maintenance contractors. Manage landscaping, parking lots, and exterior campus appearance. Ensure facilities and grounds remain clean, safe, and welcoming. Solicit bids and coordinate contractors for repairs and facility projects. Event & Ministry Support Support church and school events through facility preparation and logistics. Coordinate room setups and campus readiness according to event schedules. Assist ministry leaders with facility-related needs for worship services, programs, and special events. Safety & Security Maintain campus safety and security systems. Oversee lighting, signage, security cameras, and facility access controls. Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and procedures. Budget & Project Management Assist with the development and management of the annual facilities budget. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Participate in planning, budgeting, and oversight of facility improvement projects and renovations. Qualifications Experience in facilities management, maintenance, construction, or a related field. Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, and building systems. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to facility needs. Experience supervising contractors and service providers preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Budget management experience preferred. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with church and school leadership.

Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
