Regular Posting The successful candidate should have technical and applied knowledge of multiple disciplines including Building Automation Systems, commercial HVAC systems, institutional electrical, plumbing and infrastructure systems. The Director of Facilities is responsible for planning and directing operations for facilities in the Southern Wiregrass region to include successful management of all physical facilities. The Director must maintain current facilities and contribute to initiatives to further develop the college's physical assets. Standard office equipment. Working Conditions:
Category I - High probability of exposure to hazardous chemicals/pathogens. Probability of working beyond the normal shift, but not frequently. Periodic travel between major Wiregrass campuses and satellite sites. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent •and• Five (5) years of experience in facilities management which includes supervision of multiple commercial building operations such as troubleshooting, repair and maintenance, and space and asset management. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to meeting all other minimum qualifications, the highly desired candidate will possess one or more of the following: Successful completion of a post-secondary vocational/technical school program in a skilled trade (e.g., electrical, carpentry, plumbing), or a bachelor's degree at a four-year college or university in engineering or business administration •OR• completion of a college program in building operator/facilities management, construction management, or a directly related field. SALARY/BENEFITS
Salary is $70,000/yr. This position is full‐time and includes standard State of GA benefits such as leave accrual, options for health & other supplemental benefits, and retirement. This position may qualify the successful candidate for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. This position is funded in whole or in part by State/Local/Tuition funds. BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS
