We are searching for an organized and detail‐oriented individual to join our Facilities team as a Facilities Manager. The Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the company's grounds, buildings, and equipment to ensure that the workspace is safe and functional. This role includes working with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety requirements, supervising repair and maintenance technicians, and coordinating maintenance requests for timely completion. The Facilities Manager works closely with the Director of Corporate Facility Management to support the overall facilities management strategy.
Essential Job Duties:
Troubleshot store requests (maintenance and equipment problems). Prioritize requests and ensure all issues are resolved in a timely manner. Assign duties and oversee Repair and Maintenance Technicians. Review all service requests for repairs and maintenance and follow up on all questionable services and costs. Maintain all service, repair, and maintenance contracts. Collaborate and communicate concisely with various departments, stores, and vendors to meet store requests. Communicate job status to the store director/manager or department head as needed. Respond and provide support for emergency situations that may arise during non-office hours. Assist with facilities-related special projects as needed. Work closely with other departments and store management to ensure all R&M needs are met in a timely fashion. Understand and live by the company mission, vision, values, guiding principles, and house rules.Knowledge/Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Strong project management skills. Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to manage and organize multiple, concurrent, complex projects effectively. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships across all levels. Ability to achieve results through others. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work effectively, meet deadlines, and accomplish team objectives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Proficiency inMicrosoft Word and Excel Education/Experience:
1 - 2 years of proven experience in facility management. 3 years of preferred experience and knowledge with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Refrigeration systems. Previous experience with retail facilities management background preferred. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Working Environment:
This position involves traveling to store locations and/or neighbor islands when necessary to assess store R&M needs and follow-up. Requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays to accommodate the business. Work is conducted in an office environment and may require work to be conducted in non-standard workplaces, including stores.Mental Demands:
The position requires remembering processes, procedures, and complete information. Requires quick decision-making ability and at times with minimal information available.
